I've been contemplating this idea for a few days and I think I'd like to try it.

A sketchbook to be sent between myself and another person, each drawing 3-5 pages at a time, sending it back and forth until its completion. When it's done, I could get a dozen or so copies printed up, bound, and send you half to disperse at your will and the other half I'm thinking I'd send to other Punaji members.

You'd have to be able and willing to ship this sketchbook to Alaska each time you complete your pages and hopefully complete the pages within a week or two each time you receive it, since I'd want to get it finished before November if possible.

The sketchbook itself will probably be 50 to 80 pages, dimensions 8.5" by 11", unless you prefer something smaller. I don't want to get something larger than letter size because I'd personally have trouble filling that much space.

And don't worry about being a great artist or anything. I'm not. I'm actually expecting my pages to be the ones that aren't dog eared on any of the copies. Except maybe my mother's. Remember that it's a sketchbook. Time and effort put into the pages would be appreciated, but no masterpieces need to be made.

I'll see if I can find a decent sized moleskine around here. I think the only place in Fairbanks that sells them is the Barnes & Noble and they're generally pocket book or journal sized. I'll just grab the largest one on the shelf.

Hopefully having a glue bound sketchbook won't become trouble in the future, when copies are printed. Parts close to the seam would become distorted, I'd imagine. Unless I tear apart the original page by page and bring it in. I'll figure that out when the time comes.

Retronym, it's coming to you first. I'll need an address. PM me or email blick149@gmail.com. I'll probably be shipping it next week.

Alright, I got the sketchbook. A 100 page, 5x8.25" moleskine. In other words, the only sketchbook moleskine they had on the shelf. My town is barely large enough to justify having a Barnes & Noble, so we don't get much variety.

I'll hit you up with a shipping address when I send it off, Retronym.

So my post office is apparently open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. And it's only open for about five hours.

So I couldn't send it Thursday, my work hours overlapped the post office hours on Friday, couldn't send it over the weekend, then Monday was apparently a federal holiday and then it was closed again today, being a Tuesday. It is like a chain of unfortunate timing. I am sending off this god damn sketchbook tomorrow. If it kills me, so be it.

I better not actually die on the way to sending it now.

EDIT: Sent. Expect to receive it on the 27th, Retronym.

    God I would hope so.

Or to whoever was in Indiana that emailed me an address that I only assumed was you, Retro.

If it gets lost, I guess that means buying two was a wise choice.

Good thing I'm the type of person that keeps tracking numbers under my keyboard. It reached its destination, Indianapolis, on 2/26.

im going out of the country, so send your spare to the next person in line i suppose, ill do my part later in line, perhaps after someone close to me geographically so Indianapolis's post doesnt have as much a chance to screw up again

I suppose that means it was just set on the porch, potentially being stolen.

And I am dying for a "preview post" option on Punaji.
