Outstanding. what are you using to colour these? I don't really know if there's anything useful i can say. I guess all of these feel kind of unfinished and sketchy and it'd be cool to see a full on piece in this style.
-
1 and 4 are definitely my favorites. +honourable mention for the faces at the bottom of the last one. This is all real awesome, but of course I bet you expected that to be said.
You know, being that it is and all.Do...
do you mind if I crit your avatar though?
it's kind of bugging me. It looks real...puckered up. And not in the natural kind of puckery way, but like someone just like, juiced a thousand lemons and extracted the sour and funnelled it straight onto the guy's tongue through a firehose or something. And the nose looks smashed. -

oooooo colors!!! colors colors xoxoxoI think what you're doing works best on that one.
-
Are these those crazy markers you told me about? This are sexy, though, I like 'em.
-
hehe thank you guys for all the great comments oh i love punaji

edit:
original stuff man. loving it
-
That last watercolor you posted is stunning. Close-ups pleaseee. I'm also a really big fan of the Madonna & Child -esque sketch you're working on. I def encourage you to develop that into a finished piece.
-
The only critiques I had about the first batch was that I think playing with the line weight could really add a bunch to them. The last few are just...breath-taking. That ellipsis was me taking a breath.
-
awesome, your color choices always rock man. feel like painting now
-
<3 the comments ty
ellipsis?

sorry for the horrible quality
-
That kiss looks epic.
-
Yeah, uh nice art and stuff, but why the fuck are you posting in Zach's topic?

my phone timed out and I got all button happy on my phone.. srry

these were from today
close up from that painting, oh and by the way it's from reference and not origionally mine, it's from some boroque artist, I can't remember the name..
but the reference is very small, but so beautiful.. I wanted to do it because I love the flow of oily style it's so soft and subtle.. pretty much a skill builder, oh and I mounted it my self .. cookies -
I really like your faces. Whenever I'm drawing people from life faces get dumpy and cartoony...maybe I'm just rushing cause I'm afraid they'll move.
-
zachary, you beast. can't say anything, honestly. just really digging these. sounds corny, but there's really a lot of feeling in your work man
-
thank you guys :)
I'm a very emotionaly gripped person I guess.. as in Im swayed easily by my feelings, so maybe that's what you see in my art..
Hishnak, faces are complicated in a sense that they are all unique in their own way you know.. and it all depends on how the mind reads the face also I'm sure.. the only way to get better is start from the bottom, I suggest getting out those anatomy books and learning more about the head :)
also never start drawing in detail in a face without mapping everything out first, this suggests cartoony ness sometimes because you're rendering without a sense of pure light..
oh shit I'm still drunk haha
and I was going to post something last night in this but I couldn't type on my phone xD
oh tequila and coconut rum, and the light brothers
