I really dig the rendering on the bottom one. Marked improvement from the first stuff you showed us. Now you need to move into something less doodly and blow us all away.

@David: Yeah, it's kind of depressing seeing that I only do sketchpaints. I do some more polished stuff in my art class but I'm not motivated there either. Time to get some motivation, then!
@Adam: Thanks! Digipainting and Pixel Art aren't too far off from each other. Try it!
School project, more coming c: Aware of some flaws, but I gotta pump these out.
Decided to treat some sketches, I think it sells them much better!

I'm in one, it's just a high school class. Next year I get to do the whole AP drawing portfolio building dealio!
God I have so much to scan! More later this weekend, I suppose. It's tricky because my scanner's usb port goes in and out.getting there

Hey this latest batch of digi sketches looks sick. The textures are pretty as are the brushstrokes. Keep it up sir.

The red alien fetus-looking thing is so sick! I can see by looking at it how much your skills with digital painting and lighting have improved. The one thing that rubs me the wrong way about it is its left eye--looks smaller and higher up than the right one.

Yeah dude I love the texture of this latest one.
Also haha the horn-nosed guy looks like his nose is like those kinds of noses you draw alot, even though it's not even human.

@fofig: I set the paper texture to color burn instead of multiply and used some good ole soft noise. I'm glad you like it! I think it makes sketchpaints much more sellable as a whole because sometimes digital can get a bit mundane.
@faktablad: oh yeah man, I totally forgot to angle the mouth with the eye haha. Good eye! . u . as a draftsman I fall short a lot

I omitted texture because I think this benefits from the smudgey smooth without speckles.also let it be known that I simply suck at painting traditionally.
