Hey, welcome. I took a look through your DA page, and there seems to be a pretty nice mix of stuff in there. The hands and self portrait drawings are nice, but I think it would benefit you to work with a broader range of tones, right now everything is very mid-grey. Some really nice darks and just bright whites would really punch out some solid work. The photos seem more candid and just everyday than actual art-shots. Again I would attribute this to the lack of contrast in them. I realize that not everything needs to be huge BLACK-WHITE kinda deal, but a little tweaking could really push the emotion you're trying to portray a little further.

For the photos @ DA try a little bit of cross-processing and adjust your exposure a little bit (You can do it in photoshop if you cant do it in your camera) and make your photos "pop" a little bit. I adjusted one of your photos to show you what I mean; I took a washed/bad-exposed photo, re-adjusted exposure a little bit, blacks, and then cross-processed it with a Chrome-film "Feel".
Here is a nice read about exposure: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exposure_value you can work incorrectly exposed photos in photoshop, I suggest you to learn how to correctly expose your photos with your camera, this way you can make a great photo look like AMAZING photo :D

the creases directly under his eyes definitely need to be darker
as they are now, the juxtaposition makes the dark crows-feet creases on the side of his eyes look like eyelashes which they sorta do in the red pic but still i think the details around his eyes are too light for the most part
you could just lighten the crows feet creases though and that would do the same thing and actually probably look better
and time magazine is the shit ive been saving all the ones from this race for posterity and history i think thats a good idea

i'm waiting for the new time magazine and newsweek to come out. couldn't get a newspaper here because they were all sold out like every where =[
