Here's some in progress shots of the painting I told I was working on (and hated). I don't hate it as much as I thought I would, but I'm definitely pissed off with my inability to get the proper perspective. I suck at anything that isn't straight on.

Anyways, started with this tonight, this is after 2-4 days of working on it:

And this is where I stopped tonight.

I have less than a week to finish this AND ANOTHER FUCKING PAINTING THE SAME FUCKING SIZE!!!!!!!

    Here's the ref image:

man this is looking great, really capturing the photo realism and contrast especially in the guitar up front. i know it's a little late, but you could create a light grid to help you out with the perspective. it looks a little more straight on in the painting, but definitely accurate.

They turned out alright I guess... I did a little more on the one on the right, but my camera's battery died, so i'll take a picture in a little while. Let me know what you think. I kind of consider the expressive one a failed but worthwhile experiment.

That is some spot-on photorealism, and I'm really diggin' the composition of the one on the left. I think it turned out great and I'm madly in love with the shade of blue you used for the wall. The one on the right I'm not 100% keen on, mainly due to that gaping dark hole on the front of the guitar that kind of attracts all the unneeded attentio, but overall, I think you used some good brush techniques that you can maybe use in the future too.

This was a photo project I had to do before the holidays, just got it back sometime this week. It's supposed to resemble a sequential of film stills:
