I was looking at the two skeletons, and I thought to myself, "Why would the mom skeleton be sad that her kid is a skeleton as well?" Then I reasoned that the death of her kid was that which had "killed" her. Regardless of the validity of that interpretation, the fact that it was making me think so intently at this hour speaks volumes.
Also, got nothing but love for the sprites.

the regular woodcuts are cool and all but my favorites have to be the reduction woodcut with the alien and the bird etching. I just love the rendering with the aquatint god damn. Nice oil as well. I wish we could use oils in my class, everyone seems to have such a great time with them.
Sprites are great and solid. Nothing to really crit. Thinking of doing animations?

david: i just use a lot of common symbols and motifs to give the semblance of meaning (here day of the dead + pieta). i like your interpretation though.
atnas: thanks, those are the two that took the most labor, so glad it payed off. i plan on doing some two frame animations and do the side/back angles, god knows when i'll get around to it though.

I love all the mystery and subject in your work, and you have such a large range of medium you could do just about anything, I guess the only critique I have is that you could refine and finish more, the one thing that you might now look forward too like most people.

acrylic. paint's real thick on this one, gives it a quality I really like that doesn't show in photographs

If the paintings were to adopt the super crispness that your pixels have that would be about the best thing to happen all year. I like the sloppy, goopy stuff too, but refinement would probably make me happier.
The pixels again just floor me.
