its hard to tell that the main page is two different columns for art and other, i thought just the two big posts were in seperate colums, i just noticed that it applies to all the posts
my mind had to analyze and tell me that, the visual dosent tell me that
maybe some sort of vertical break? or maybe if you make the padding in the middle a little thicker, like a magazine format u know?
It took me a couple visits to adjust to the two column deal as well. A thin dividing line might look ugly though. Perhaps a background color difference? Like a pale lavender behind the art column on the main page or something to that effect. Just like what's done to the older posts, but a vertical divide that also overlaps the horizontal divide, essentially a grid.
Also, I love love love the header.

I feel as though if you were to use this design, it should be better optimized to fit within the screen without stretching the window. Right now it's just a little too wide and causes it to look too big and therefore cluttered. If there was a way to may decrease the width of the left column where the posts would show up, it might work better.
Great idea though, it definitely looks sexy as hell, and unique as all get out, which is awesome.

Something a bit more substantive than my usual posts in here. I spent surprisingly little time making it so the Punaji database is backed up automatically every week. An email is sent to me containing the entire contents of the database so that if something diabolical were to happen to Punaji we won't have to start from scratch (again). Hurrah!

I miss when long posts took up an obnoxiously large space when you first saw Punaji and you'd have to be crazy not to read it all. And when you could see who posted what all the time, and I think itd be cool if avatars could be shown with it.
I've added the topic author to the topics list and also to the art topics on the index page. That has been changed a lot in general. Every topic now displays the last post in it, and there's an option (little minus sign button) to collapse all the information but the topic titles.
I'm working to make it so that image previews can be clicked on to display a complete preview. It's sort of working, but you have to double click. It's too late for me to figure it out. Maybe tomorrow.
