I kind of prefer the first, sketchy one, but that's just style, regardless this is one of the most marvelous things I have seen in a while. No real crits right now.. But keep working on it :D

the way youre taking this seems like its taking the soul out of it, my suggestion would be to keep the black sketchy lines on top and work under neath it, maybe try a limited pallette
anyway it still is a sick pic dont get down man and keep working

i see what you guys are saying, i prefer the lines on top from the first one. i approached this the wrong way and began coloring on top, now it looks real shitty when i try to move the coloring below the lines layer. i'm just gonna continue it and see if i can keep it alive

I just put the original in a layer above the current and set the blend mode to "multiply".
