i wouldnt get a where the wild things are tattoo - not now - at least right now

that big budget, big exposure, "indie movie" spike jonze version of the book is about to come out, it does look good and im sure it will be great, but its going to be a really big thing in the counter-culture indie scene too, cause its nostalgic and gona be dark. no problem with people liking it cause its a cool movie, but theres gona be people liking it because its cool to think its a cool movie.

i would nottt get that right now, imo it would be like getting a willy wonka tattoo a couple months before the johnny depp one or something. or like, youre gona get a ton of people sayin "oh cool movie tattoo bro!!"

its gona turn into more of a "jack skellington" thing than an obscure childhood reference. think about all the "unique" girls youve seen running around with "deep" nightmare before christmas tattoos... id be sorta weary

the horse one on the top right is easliy the best and coolest of the group, but also the least applicable tattoo wise it seems

I have a nautical star on my chest, and this custom circular design I did on my shoulder cap. I hope to get more.

Also, I think if I were you I would hold off on getting an image that is in pop culture like that, since you never know how you'll feel about it once it's on your body you know. If you get old and fat, just imagine what it will be like to have that tattoo.

If you like it enough, I would go for the middle one though if I were you, or the top right. I would disagree with Top_Bug and say that the cowboy and horse are very tattooable. They ring out old school tattoo for sure.

no no i think it would be a good tattoo, i meant i thought it would make the best one, but that its so detailed, tattoo artists always seem to be against such strict line work and shit, idk, youd have to get it prettty big to be exact

bah, you're thinkin too much man. my friend always had ideas for a tattoo, but she overthunk(?) them and never got any. i finally told her to get it over with and she loves them.

so who cares if it's going to become popular. i realize tattoos can be for display purposes but i also say fuck the critics. you didn't think about getting the tattoo for the movie, so just get it. i guess if you're afraid to start a fad or become a part of one i'm yet to see, and we all did the same, then we'll be happily stuck in the past with "cool vintage" stuff...
