I wish I could get my f'kin tablet's pressure to work. -
Cool texture in the necks fade to black
-

Thanks to Inane for prompting a comic and crits. -
potential here
having hard time reconciling the two different styles, i would be interested in seeing the human make a shift in design towards congruence with the dark figures
top panel: bridge of nose too close to eyes, look at profile reference.
on close-up: eyes a bit too large, head a bit shallow, nose a bit flat (due to nostril orientation i believe)
bottom: his humerus (top arm bone) is short here
I like where this is going, dont get me wrong
-

better?edit: uck, his elbow's in a weird place.
edit edit: okay, there, I guess?

it feels like the comic's gone through overexposure, try defining some details with fine linework. there's a lot of texturing and stuff you could do to fill space. i like what's there, though.
and then AFTER THAT there's angles and perspective to worry about for the best flow. comics are hard.
-
Thanks amp, I'll keep all that in mind for when I try try again. Perhaps at a much later date. Much later. Maybe next time I'll focus on trying to get a cool flow or something. I've always liked those comics where stuff isn't constrained or allocated to separate, specific panels and stuff.

I'll paint you something pretty for your animation skills?
-
Deal. :D

xion wtf man, i love those robots so damn much. damnit man, those are too good. makes me wanna pixel.
-
Edit:

holy shiiit
i love the simple light shaft
those lava enemies are sick
A plus, now finish so I can play
-
In due time, friend.
In due time.
-
awesome work man, i'm rootin' for ya too. very stylized on the last one especially.
-
that is just outstanding pixelmanship
those browns are lusciously applied
the vegetation is impressive, if not perfectly placed (the right side has a column of ground and tree that might confuse a player if it looks like a wall at first)
that plant is some pokemon style professionalism, dig.
-
Wow, wow, wow. I am so excited by those last two screenshots I'm glad we don't do these things in person. To be real, though, I feel like you need a lighter highlight on the robot for him to work in that first level, and maybe just a bit more contrast and saturation to work in the second one. The drawing in these rexent pixelarts here, though, and the shading and lighting, just amazing, almost has a hand drawn feel, only thing I would tweak is the palette.
