Cheating ex's may very well have a very positive correlation with artistic awesomeness. Your ladies are very yummmyyyy.
Sorry bout the lady friend man : [ shit hurts *hug*
whore in a pink suit

thanks guys! i won't really call it cheating, but she destroyed my heart and it involved another guy and it's something you can't undo...w/e

Sucks about the lady dude but damn those girls are awesome.

bumping to say that new avatar is awesome, yo.
-
hey thanks man :]
starting to pixel it, just a trace over so far

you better keep the red nose and the funny little teeth :)
it looks nice so far!
-
I demand more immediately.
-
thanks fellas
haven't gotten back to the pixel yet, busy with school

just did some sketches, sorry for the cell phone pic, but i ain't home to scan :[
oh and here's a pixel i started a while back. i posted it on pixelation, but it has drifted into the depths. i gave up on it, but i wanna finish. it's based off a sketch. some c&c would be great, really wanna polish my pixel skills.

with lines and the sketch

watched the sandlot today. great flick

Circle jerkish? Yes, but I don't care. This shit (and the rest of your stuff) is just class. Look at the swagger of that cocky motherfucker. His foot is basically broken off at 90 degrees, but it works. The stripes run over the ripples in the fabric so damn nicely. I thoroughly enjoy gawking slack-jawed at that man's crotch, yeah, what, I said it.
-
That looks astounding, gnarf. Great style.
-
you're very inspiring man, I've seen you develop so much style
it's very intense man keep the work up -
You are truly astounding, and I really hate to just add to the ass-kissing without some sort of criticism, but it's so awesome to see how the people I've known of for a while now evolve as artists.
My only crit would be to get a scanner, and make an animation already and get famousssssssss.
-
really big thanks for the comments guys, a good boost of motivation came out of it. i'm actually a big fan of the circle jerks logo, if that's what you meant david, i love all the broken joints and such. i gotta say ditto to you guys, seeing all of you improve has been real inspiring too. and there are so many different mediums you guys use, it really makes me wanna paint or pixel and whatnot.
and as for the animation, i've got a few 2d animations i've done but they're recorded on a vhs...which is too archaic for a computer. but i'm working on it. thanks fellas
here's the page filled up. my bro got me a scanner for my birthday a few months ago, and i just cracked it open
-
aaahh, a scan! ° ____ ° this is fucking awesome dude, I don't really know what to say. great characters, great lines, great fluidity, let's get married.
-
THANK GOD!
(Also, I had no idea about the band. I meant it in the "metaphorically jacking dudes' egos off through art message board posts" way. It's really weird that their logo actually relates....)
-
Awesome my man, your style is amazing. I fucking love that shark dude.
Also, the character on the left bottom is fucking lovely looks like fons scheidon stuff.
-
thankses guys :]
and i have no plans to get married ampersand, sorry
also yeah, haha, that's pretty funny david. i wish i could find more from the artist.
btw miguel, speaking of fons scheidon, i loved those drawings you did when you were in the hospital. really would love to see more of that stuff. your vectors translated well to sketches and those were pretty inspiring, if i didn't mention that before.
-
Oh thanks man, well I have not been able to draw for months, thats was the latest stuff I did i i can remember correctly.
Yeah, Fons Scheidon has been an insane inspiration for me, I really love all the stuff he has done, especially his latest work, top stuff.
You should post more of these, or re-scan the old ones, so we can delight with all the detail you push!
-
Lol ... those hamsters making out on the previous page is so gross.
You have beautiful lines quality and form. I mean ... there is not much to say, everything is amazing. You definitely know what you're doing :)
Oh that woman (last image) has really cutsie breasts ... idk, I like there shape ... very pensive, lol.
-
sorry i haven't been able to respond earlier, been busy with school. i scanned in some old and news like you said miguel. really tho, show some of your artwork already
thanks darion :] and those hamsters are a stupid representation of a heartbreak. i feel so corny drawing them, tbh
some scans: i really don't like the ones i didn't shade. i spose i was trying something out, but their cleanliness isn't sitting too well with me.

some digital painting practice

Man, you have the most distinct cartoon characters ever! You have such a slick style, you are destined for great things my friend. I would honestly say that you are more than ready to start really pushing your talent on people and getting noticed for what you were obviously meant to do. I really mean that dude.
I hope in time I get to watch your films and admire and be like "that's mah boy".
Much love friend.
-
Yup, I'll have to agree, a very distinctive style. You've done the one thing most 'cartoonists on the internet' fail to do- learned anatomy and proportion before attributing it to your cartoons. Many people I've talked to think they don't need to study the figure because they're going to draw 'cartoons,' but they're wrong.
These drawings are perfect examples of what to do. There's an underlying knowledge of the figure in all these, which is what helps make your style so attractive.
Great work. I think you should try to incorporate more volume into your drawings.
But yeah, really, excellent stuff. I'm with quark here, I can't wait to see your work in some cartoon or movie. =)
-
Yeah, my admiration has definitely moved into bitter, laser beam intense jealousy. People that practice and put work into their art and then all of a sudden (over the course of several years) turn out all super good and stuff are silver spoon jerks...
-
totally awesome, love the dude with goggles and gloves on the 7th page
-
many many many thanks fellas. i really hope i get into the industry after i graduate and have some work out there. i'd love too sooner. as of now, my blog is the only start i have. i don't have much patience to learn how to build a site, but i've got ideas for designs. also, my grades aren't too hot. i have a hard time focusing. seems like there are more and more distractions around me each day. i know i need better work ethic too. really wanna become an animator or illustrator one day.
and yeah, i thought the same thing about cartooning back when i was starting high school. but watching a lot of the disney special features and stuff, i realized that the greats studied life constantly. (glen keane's one of my absolute favorites, just check out this clip from tarzan.)
i can die happy if i ever create an animation that amazing. and forgot who said all fantasy is based off of reality, but that's very true.
-
It feels so reluctant saying this, I've said it oftentimes. I dig your work so much.
